Philip Finelli was the owner of District Ornamental Iron Works. An advertisement in the Washington Post dated July 7, 1920, states the business was located at 638 G Street N.W. Washington, D.C., phone Main 7938. It specialized in ornamental stairway, marquise, grilles, elevator enclosures, porches, fire escapes, iron and wire fences. District Ornamental Iron Works through Philip Finelli contracted with Mildred Bliss to complete ironwork projects in the Dumbarton Oaks Gardens.
