Description
Letter discusses the cards sent to her by Anne Sweeney describing plants in the Dumbarton Oaks Gardens and offers suggestions on how the cards can be improved. Beatrix Farrand give the following instruction, the "cards MUST be printed Dumbarton Oaks, as if they are taken out of the files, they must be retrievable, and an index kept." She offers to send the book list for Reef Point, Bar Harbor, Maine, so Anne Sweeney can make a copy of it. The books on the list marked S.R. are rare books. Mildred Bliss will be most interested in these.
Typewritten letter on Beatrix Farrand's, Valley Club of Montecito, Santa Barbara, California letterhead and hand signed in ink [possibly signed on Beatrix Farrand's behalf by her secretary, Isabelle M. Stover].
