Letter thanking Mildred Bliss for the gift of $250 sent by Robert and Mildred Bliss to Max Farrand's memorial fund for the benefit of Reef Point Gardens, Bar Harbor, Maine. Beatrix Farrand intends to buy useful garden books for the Reef Point library with gift funds and wants to place a bookplate in each book in memory of Max Farrand. She is considering books like Mrs. Loudon's bulb or perennial, the Dykes book on tulip species, and on roses or rhododendrons. Beatrix Farrand reports over 500 visitors to Reef Point Gardens in the last 5-6 weeks, and her principle job is to prepare the place for when she is gone.
