Description

Letter offering condolences to Paul Sachs on account of his son-in-law's death. Beatrix Farrand also suggests a meeting in April 1942 to discuss Dumbarton Oaks garden matters.

Typewritten letter on Beatrix Farrand's New York letterhead. Address crossed out and "Valley Club of Montecito, Santa Barbara, California." typed beneath it. Signed in black ink. "Ans[w]er" penciled across the top of the letter. "Jack" penciled in left-hand margin beside second paragraph probably referring to John Thacher. Penciled lines around second paragraph.
