Description

Beatrix Farrand is credited with the design of the central two-tiered fountain surrounded by a boxwood hedge in the Box Ellipse. The garden space was later re-designed with the removal of the boxwood hedge, replacement with a hornbeam hedge, and the placement of a Provençal fountain in the area of the central pool.
