The distinguished classical guitarists return to the Music Room with a concert that highlights their considerable virtuosity. The first half of the program focuses on European composers Fernando Sor, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and Domenico Scarlatti. Composers reflecting the brothers' Brazilian heritage are featured after intermission, with works by Ernesto Nazareth, Heitor Villa-Lobos, João Pernambuco, Aníbal Augusto Sardinha (Garoto), Dilermando Reis, and Baden Powell. The Assads’ exceptional artistry, amazing energy, and uncanny ensemble playing promise to delight.
