London, England, United Kingdom, 1869–1932 (Publisher)
The Graphic was a weekly illustrated newspaper published in London. William Luson Thomas (1830–1900), an artist and engraver, founded The Graphic in 1869 largely to support and promote other artists by using their work to lavishly illustrate articles. The Graphic became the most successful rival of The Illustrated London News. In 1932, the newspaper briefly changed its name to The National Graphic before ceasing publication a few months later.
