Dear Robert.

Many thanks for your cable suggesting I get in touch with Dean Jay,Nelson Dean Jay (1883–1972), an American banker with J. P. Morgan & Co. and the Paris firm of Morgan & Cie. about Bill.

Bill will probably be in Paris before long, and I’ll see that he calls Dean—who has always taken a very kindly interest in him. And I’ll write to Dean, as well. There are one or two possibilities on the horizon, where Bill is concerned, and we aren’t despairing. It was cheering to get your cable, showing that you are mindful of him.

Much love to you both.

R. T.
