Dear Robert,

Many thanks for your letterDecember 29, 1950. enclosing correspondence with Volbach.

As you may imagine, I have no job for V’s sonJulian (Giuliano) Volbach, the son of Volbach and Vivyan Praz, née Vivyan Leonora Eyles (1909–1984).—but I’m glad to have news of V himself, and hope to see him sometime.

I’m leaving today for a brief trip to Rome, and expect to be back here next week, sometime.

Elisina sends you and Mildred much love, as do I

Yrs

R. T.
