Dear Robert.

Just a word to tell you that, after a long struggle, I’ve got the Fin. CteeFinancial Committee of the League of Nations. to recommend to the Council that my job in Hungary be discontinued, on the ground that the Hunks“Hungarians.” have been as good as their word, have balanced their budget and made agreements with their creditors. The decision lies with the Council, which only meets on Jan. 17th, but the Council has never yet disowned the Fin. Ctee,Financial Committee of the League of Nations. & it isn’t likely to do it now. Until Jan. 17th, the matter is supposed to be kept secret.

Nothing has as yet been decided as to my future position, but the F. CteeFinancial Committee of the League of Nations. are putting in a strong recommendation to the Sec. Gen. of the League that my services be retained, and I am told that some way of doing it will be found. I’m not worrying. I terminate at Bpest on 31 March.

Love to you both. Jesus, what a marvel that marriage beltBZ.1937.33. is! You’ll see.
