Notes

Bodleianus Baroccianus 71.  (Madan Summary Catalogue no. 71 = old Bodley no. 1202.)  Early fifteenth century, paper, 173 folios.  Miscellany: mostly philosophical, partly religious.  Constantine ("Michael") Psellus and many others. For detailed list of contents, see Coxe's entry in Bibliography (which is unmarked by Barbour & Wilson).

1r-36r  Psellus, Logica & Quadrivium (PG 122.499B-500A; Iter Psellianum no. 893 (PHI.170; pp. 334-339); cf. Bodl. Auct. T.4.4, Bodl. Canon. gr. 1, Bodl. Canon. gr. 83, and Bodl. Seld. Arch. supra 17).  Counted as anonymous in Coxe but identified as Psellus in Moore, sub lem.

36r-47v  Psellus, Διδασκαλία τοῦ Ψελλοῦ περὶ τῶν δέκα κατηγοριῶν καὶ τῶν προτάσεων καὶ τῶν συλλογισμῶν (Iter Psellianum no. 738 (PHI.15; pp. 239-241); cf. Bodl. Canon. gr. 83, fols. 106r-113v.

Coxe (sub lem., §3) has Psellus Περὶ Ἑρμηνείας at fol. 42 and the next entry (§4: Anonymi cujusdam in Dionysii Catonis disticha expositio) is not until fol. 72).  We do not have the whole manuscript before us.

67r  Blank.

134r-135v  Psellus, Ænigmata, to Michael VII, in political verse and elegiacs (TLG 2702.015, nos. 35-52; Iter Psellianum nos. 1087-1100, 1102-1104 (POE.35-48, 50-52; pp. 500-505); cf. Bodl. Barocci 1080, fols. 242r-243v, and Barocci 111, fols. 62r-63v). The whole collection goes through ιηʹ (Boissonade's numbering = Westerink's/Moore's no. 52), but this manuscript lacks the two-line iambic poem ιεʹ (Westerink/Moore 49).

(We give a link to the Google Books preview of Moore's extremely useful Iter Psellianum, but unfortunately none of the above entries is included there.)
