Several letters between Paul Underwood and Albert Friend (Bert) demonstrate how the two scholars exchanged ideas and opinions about their reconstructions of the Holy Apostles domes. Through them it is possible to trace the developments of the reconstructions up to their definitive layout and final expression in Underwood’s drawings.
In this letter, Underwood discusses the reconstructions of the central and northern domes.
