The archangel Michael standing, wings outspread, holding the sceptre in his right hand and the globus in his left. Details indistinct. Traces of epigraphy at right, possibly the sigla Χ|μ : Μ(ι)χ(αήλ). Border of dots.

Commentary

The rarely encountered family name Potapos (likely of Slavic origin) appears on another seal in the Dumbarton Oaks Collection; see BZS 1958.106.411.
