Translation

Εἴης βοηθὸς οἰκέτῃ σῷ, Χριστέ μου τῷ Νικολάῳ τῷ δικαστῇ Χαλδίας.

Be thou, O my Christ, aid unto thy servant Nicholas, judge of Chaldia.

Commentary

The inscription consists of two twelve syllable verses. The first letter of the reverse is certainly a T. A judge of Chaldia by the name of Nicholas asekretis is attested in 1024: BNJ 3 (1922) 94-95 = Grumel, Regestes no. 827.
