Translation

ἄναρχε Κύριε καὶ ἐκ Θεοῦ λόγαι βοήθει Ἰωάννῃ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ, ἐπὶ τοῦ Χρυσοτρικλίνου καὶ βασιλικῷ Χαλδίας.

Eternal Lord and Word of God, help John, protospatharios epi tou Chrysotriklinou and basilikos of Chaldia.

Commentary

We understand ΛΟΓΑΙ in the obverse inscription to be a homophonic rendering of the vocative ΛΟΓΕ.
