Obverse

Bust of St. John the Baptist holding a staff cross over his right shoulder. Inscription on either side: |ι̅|οπ|ρο|ρ,|μ : ὁ ἅ(γιος) Ἰω(άννης) ὁ Πρόδρ(ο)μ(ος). Border of dots.

Reverse

A patriarchal cross (x at the lower crossbar) mounted on a base of three steps. Fleurons on both sides. Within a border of dots, a circular inscription beginning with a cross at seven o'clock:

κε̅οηθιτσι̅

Κ(ύρι)ε βοήθι τῷ σῷ Ἰω(άννῃ)

Translation

Κύριε βοήθι τῷ σῷ Ἰωάννῃ.

Lord, help your (servant) John.
