Translation

Κύριε βοήθει (?) Λέοντι βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίο καὶ στρατηγῷ Χαλδίας.

Commentary

The seal of an earlier Leo, protospatharios and strategos of Chaldia (with an inscribed cruciform monogram), was published in Sig., 290 (cf. Birch, no. 17, 523) and by Zacos-Veglery, no. 2137A.
