Commentary

It is not possible to prove because crucial letters are absent, but ti could well be that this specimen reads: Σφραγὶς μονῆς τοῦ Προδρόμου τοῦ Ἰορδάνου. This suggestion is based in part on the similarity of iconography between this specimen and seals of the latter institution. See Laurent, Corpus 5.2: no. 1579 as well as BZS.1958.106.432.
