Commentary

Note the inclusion of several unnecessary abbreviation marks in the inscription on the reverse.

This specimen should be added to the entry in Wassiliou-Seibt, Siegel mit metrischen Legenden II, no. 1574; she dates the seals bearing the same metrical inscription to the years between 1116 and July of 1121. See also PBW : Michael 20131.
