Commentary

The reverse could alternatively be read as Μαιουριανοῦ (Maiourianos) or Μαυριανοῦ (Maurianos). The obverse figure is likely the personification of Constantinople, cf. solidi of Honorius, Theodosious II, etc., though it is is unclear whether a boat lies at her feet. She is likely meant to hold the globus, though her r. arm is crudely struck.
