Commentary

Dodecasyllabic. This specimen is absent from Wassiliou-Seibt's catalogue of metrical seals. No parallels are known, although BZS.1947.2.1375, struck by a certain Basil Kinnamos sometime in the eleventh century, is possibly related to this specimen. Cf. Jordanov, Corpus II, p. 209; Laurent, Bulles metriques, no. 605.
