Obverse

Christ Emmanuel seated on a lyre-backed throne, wearing a tunic and himation and holding the right hand in blessing and a book in the left. He has a nimbus cruciger. Sigla at left and right: (ησοῦ)ς Χ(ριστό)ς. Circular inscription. Border of dots.

Reverse

Two figures: at left, the emperor Constantine X standing, wearing a crown with a cross and pendilia and a loros and holding the right hand before his chest and a globus cruciger in the left; and at right, the Mother of God standing, wearing a chiton and maphorion, the right hand uplifted and touching the emperor’s crown in blessing. Her left hand is held palm outward. Sigla between them, above: Μ(ήτηρ) and at right: Θ(εοῦ). Circular inscription. Border of dots.
