Bust of the Virgin holding a medallion of Christ. On either side of Christ, the sigla: Ι̅Σ-Χ̅Σ : Ἰ(ησοῦ)ς Χ(ριστό)ς. Visible at right of the Virgin: Θ̅Υ : [Μ(ήτη)ρ] Θ(εο)ῦ. Border of dots.

Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῷ Νικολάῳ ἐπισκόπῳ Προυσιάδος.

Mother of God, please help your servant Nicholas, bishop of Prousias.

A parallel specimen is published by Zacos, Seals II, no. 617. This seal and BZS.1955.1.4667 come from the same boulloterion, and so their readings are combined.
