Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Γεωργίῳ ἀρχιεπισκόπῳ Κρίτης.

Lord, help your servant George archbishop of Crete.

Commentary

This must have been a successor of Andrew of Crete, who died in 740: probably an iconoclast successor.
