Commentary
The reconstruction of the name is uncertain: it could just as well be Θεοδοσίῳ or Θεοδούλῳ. But we know of a patrikios Theodotos who was killedi n 830/1, when Mineo fell to the Arabs (Chronicle of Cambridge, in A. Vasiliev, Byzance et les Arabes I [Brussels, 1935], 345, cf. 128).
