Bust of the Mother of God with her hands before her. Details indistinct. On either side, epigraphy: ̅θυ̅: Μή(τη)ρ Θ(εο)ῦ. Border of dots.

Inscription of five lines. Border of dots.

σφραγ(ὶς) γραμάτ(ων) (καὶ) λόγων Βασιλείοω

Translation

σφραγὶς γραμάτων καὶ λόγων Βασιλείου.

Seal of the letters and correspondence of Basil.

Commentary

Note that the final letter in the reverse inscription is an omega () rather than the expected upsilon (Υ). This has been tacitly corrected in the final reading.
