Mother of God, help Marinos bishop of Athens.

Commentary

Line 4 (rev.): the initial letters ΑΘ in ΑΘΝ are broken and so Laurent misread them. Our seal can reasonably be attributed to Marinos of Athens who died in April of 704 (Orlandos-Branouses, no. 80).
