Commentary

The reading of the reverse monogram is uncertain; it does not contain the Ρ that is required in the monogram of a metropolitan, and thus is difficult to interpret as such. However, based on the remaining letters and the lack of any reasonable reading otherwise, this and BZS.1958.106.469 were intended to read as metropolitan, either with an engraver's mistake in forgetting the Ρ or with an intended double use of the as both an ΟΥ ligature, and as the loop of a Ρ extending below the Τ.
