Translation

The seal, a verification of his correspondence, presents Constantine Angelos, son of a porphyrogennetos and cousin of the emperor.

Commentary

This is the seal of Constantine Angelos Doukas, a cousin of the emperor Isaac II Angelos (1185-1195, 1203-1204). He was appointed head of the fleet and governor of Philippoupolis by the emperor but took part in a failed coup against him and was blinded.
