Bust of St. Basil; details indistinct. Inscription in two columns: ο|R|α-σ|ι|λ : Ὁ (ἅγιος) Βασίλ(ειος). Traces of a circular inscription, beginning at seven o'clock. Border of dots.

Translation

Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Στυλιανῷ ἀρχιεπισκόπῳ Καισαρείας καὶ συγκέλλῳ.

Lord, help your servant Stylianos, archbishop of Caesarea and synkellos.

Commentary

Laurent was right to suggest that the owner of the present seal might well be Stylianos of Caesarea, attested in 1049 (K. and S. Lake, Dated Greek Minuscule Manuscripts to the Year 1200 IX [Boston, 1945], pl. 362).
