Commentary
Daskylion is thought to be the modern Eskali Liman or Hisartepe, to the east of the Rhyndakos. The bishopric, although a suffragan of Nikomedeia in all notitiae until the thirteenth century, was situated inside the theme of Opsikion: Janin, Grands centres, 80.
