Faint outline of the emperor Justinian II standing frontally, wearing a crown and a chlamys and holding a globus cruciger in his right hand. On either side, the indiction signs: – S. Circular inscription, beginning at one o'clock. Indeterminate border.

Commentary

Zacos and Veglery securely dated the seal but misread the last word as Ἰωνοπόλεος, whereas the reading "Honorias" is based on traces of the surviving letters and makes more sense. The two associates, George the patrikios and Theophylact, were busy in farming out state businesses during Justinian II's first reign, only to disappear before reappearing in 705/6, during the second reign of their protector.
