Description
Typewritten letter discusses the garden tour visitors for which she is enclosing a report for the months of May and June. Anne Sweeney mentions the gardens were closed to tours when the Dumbarton Oaks Symposium was meeting in the Orangery and when the heavy rains prevented the tours from operating. Anne Sweeney met with Robert Patterson while he was at Dumbarton Oaks and discussed having a descriptive booklet of the house and gardens as the museum and library booklet is not quite suitable.
Copy of original letter sent, unsigned. Probably sent by Anne Sweeney as a response to Beatrix Farrand's letter to her on June 21st, B:BF 1946.06.21.
