Description

Discusses the receipt of a check for $50.00 from Mildred Bliss to purchase prints for the Garden Guide and Catalogue House work. A set of pamphlets on insects, weeds and grasses and animals by E. Lawrence [Laurence] Palmer from Nature Magazine have been purchased. These will be on display in the Orangery on open days. A book by A.J. Grout has been received.

John Thacher has decided on the first open day for the gardens and notices will be sent.

Reports that trees have had their tops cut off and some cut to the ground due to storms.

The Dumbarton Oaks Conversations has ended and the delegates are leaving Dumbarton Oaks.

An exhibition catalog was produced from the exhibit that commemorated the 50th Anniversary of the Dumbarton Oaks Conversations titled, Dumbarton Oaks Conversations, 1944-1994.
