Letter from Anne Sweeney to Isabelle Stover, December 12, 1945 discussing books ordered from K. Gregory and Dulau's Department of B.H. Blackwell Ltd., August 4, 1944, but not yet received at Dumbarton Oaks; the lovely Autumn weather at Dumbarton Oaks; and James Bryce experiencing a fall the day after Thanksgiving leading to a sprained ankle.

The books ordered were: The wild garden by William Robinson and Home and garden and Wood and garden, both by Gertrude Jekyll.

Unsigned copy, probably Anne Sweeney based on response letter from Isabelle Stover, B:IMS 1946.01.03. Original letter lacking in collection.

Enclosed with letter are two different copies of letters sent to booksellers placing an book order. At the head of both letters is written in pencil: "Miss S" to indicate Anne Sweeney.
