Description
Letter accompanying a copy of Beatrix Farrand's mother's book, Lantern Slides for John Thacher. In the letter she reiterates topics mentioned in her earlier letter (D:BF 1941.12.13), such as the well-being of Robert and Mildred Bliss and her uncertainty surrounding closing the greenhouses. She inquires whether the Bliss' contribution towards Anne Sweeney's salary had arrived and ends the letter by including a final copy of the "D.O." Harvard report for John Thacher.
Typewritten letter on Beatrix Farrand's New York letterhead. "The Valley Club of Montecito, Santa Barbara, California" rubber-stamped beside it. Signed in either faded black or blue ink.
Includes typewritten copy of "Report Submitted to the Chairman of the Dumbarton Oaks Administrative Board, On the Grounds of Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection," dated November 24, 1941 and signed by Beatrix Farrand in black ink.
