Description
Letter suggesting to John Thacher that they might want to abandon the idea of supplying bulbs for the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. this year. If the number of bulbs needed could be determined soon, then bulbs could be ordered and also taken from the Dumbarton Oaks stock.
Typewritten statement: "Mrs. Farrand has asked me to sign this letter so that it could go on the afternoon post" suggesting that the signature is not that of Beatrix Farrand. Signature is probably that of Isabelle M. Stover, secretary to Beatrix Farrand.
Written in upper right corner in pencil: "Mr. Bryce." A copy of this letter was included with a correspondence from Beatrix Farrand to James Bryce also dated June 29, 1942.
