Description
Letter discusses the visit with Lewis L. Delafield and Ellis Russell at Reef Point, Bar Harbor, Maine. A report of their impressions of the Reef Point gardens and educational program by Lewis L. Delafield should be on Mildred Bliss' desk when she returns from London sailing the Queen Elizabeth. Beatrix Farrand reports she has not seen blueprints or plans (possibly for the Garden Center library), so she can not comment, and she has not been contacted by John Thacher to write an article for a Dumbarton Oaks bulletin.
Beatrix Farrand reports that one book on Nymphenbourg [sic] has been added to the Dumbarton Oaks library and has been looking for a book by Charles-Joseph de Ligne titled, Coup d'oeil sur Beloeil. She also mentions she is dismayed that Ruth Havey has not responded to Robert Patterson's letter.
Written on Beatrix Farrand's letterhead and hand signed "Trix."
