Description
Handwritten letter reminiscing about years Beatrix Farrand and Mildred Bliss spent creating the Dumbarton Oaks Gardens and how proud both [Mildred Bliss and Robert Bliss] must be of Dumbarton Oaks as a place of learning. Beatrix Farrand mentions she will offer her impressions on garden matters especially the Garden Center Library through Robert Patterson, and is sending a book for them to review before passing it on to the Dumbarton Oaks Garden Library.
Beatrix Farrand expresses that she misses daily chats with them. She writes, "It [working with Mildred Bliss on the Dumbarton Oaks Gardens] was the most complete union of designers that has come in my long life of gardening, & if you are pleased with some of the effects, do remember that in many cases you gave the lift that started the race."
