Description

Typewritten letter discussing that Beatrix Farrand has signed the Reef Point deed over to Robert Patterson, and his plan to pursue tax exempt status for Reef Point. He states it is necessary that Reef Point be owned by a charitable corporation and that the transfer be done before April 1, [1956?] to avoid real estate taxes. He outlines two ownership possibilities, 1) The Max Farrand Memorial and Reef Point Gardens Corporations or 2) The Hancock County Trustees of Public Reservations. He asks for Mildred Bliss' help with an endowment to accompany the Reef Point property.
