Description

The pepper pot finial and bench at the west of the loggia, as it appeared after construction was completed in the 1930s.

Drawings exist of a pepper pot by Armand Albert Rateau, who created alternative designs for this part of the garden in 1929.

Stewart Bros. Photographers probably took photograph based on a similar signed photograph from inside the loggia, GP 42-91.

Photograph undated, probably taken 1930-1935 based on appearance of garden area.

On verso: typewritten label: Swimming pool, View through loggia to bench & "pepper pot." Also handwritten: 7071 [underlined] 122.

Title created by cataloger.
