Description

Beatrix Farrand designed the Horseshoe steps and fountain and loggia balustrade. McKim, Mead and White, architectural firm, re-designed the loggia.

View of the west end of the Loggia, and Horseshoe Steps fountain with temporary statue and basin design, as they appeared during the Horseshoe Steps construction phase beginning in 1930 and before completion of the shell fountain in 1935.
