Notes

The manuscript is faded in many places (it is difficult to tell whether this is from bad photography or problems with the actual ms.) and as such rather hard to read.

f.1r: Gregory of Nyssa, On the Creation of Man.

f.47v: Psellus’ Commentary on Gregory of Nazianzus’ Oratio 2 begins at the large “ἐκ” half-way down the page. (Iter Psellianum: [544] THE.2)  Title: “ἐκ τοῦ ‘ἥττημαι καὶ τὴν ἧτταν ὁμολογῶ’...”   For a longer incipit, see Moore, Iter Psellianum, p.152 (in the bibliography).

f.50r: John Philoponus, In Aristotelis Categorias Commentarium (fragmentary), begins abruptly:
incipit: “…δόρυ ἔχων μόνον’, καίτοι οὐδὲν κωλύει καὶ ὑποδήματα ἔχειν καὶ ἱμάτιον…”

Foliation is marked throughout but Young and Aitken’s catalogue (see online resources) notes folio numbers by quire rather than continuously.

As of July 2011, Pinakes lists only Gregory of Nyssa’s work but does not mention Psellus or Philoponus.  Philoponus’ work is listed in the print catalogue as “Unknown Author’s Treatise on Grammar”.

For more information on the ms. history, see also Moore, Iter Psellianum, p. 722 (in the bibliography).

This is the entire ms.
