Notes

Revilla-Andrés 51.
Nota Antiqua r.iii.17.
Miller no. 47.
Iter Psellianum nos. 1062, 1157.

Note that Pinakes calls this “Rho.III.17”, but in fact the Escorial uses the Latin letter for its “R” series.

From the library of Spanish scholar (and associate of “El Greco”) Antonio de Covarrubias.

Epigrams in dual columns in a hasty hand, with very little in the way of organization and identification. Miller assigns them to Theodore Prodromus and Manuel Philes, rather than to Psellus, and edits them under the latter’s name both in his catalogue and his Manuelis Philae Carmina (Paris 1855). Pinakes (as of Aug. 2011) follow him in the assignation(see Moore, locc. citt.).
