Notes

Bodleianus Holkhamicus græcus 25 (olim Earl of Leicester Library gr. 54). Paper, ii+325 leaves. Religious miscellany.

Codices Chrysostomici Græci Vol. 1, no. 250 (which see, along with Πίνακες in Online Resources, for a detailed list of contents).

Barbour (sub lem.), "A and B. 16th cent., A [fols. 1-187] written by Markos Morezenos, B [fols. 187-229] by Manuel Malaxos; C. [fol. 229-end] 15th cent. Morezenos 66. Giustiniani 73."

For Malaxos see Vogel & Gardthausen in Bibliography and Online Resources and British Library link ("Example from the Scribe") also in Online Resources; for him and Morezinos, see Sathas.

The author of the short treatise on dactyls (fol. 227r/v) is, as Barbour says in her list of contents, Nicholas Malaxos (Vogel & Gardthausen pp. 350sq.), but she ascribes the copying to his brother Marcus (V-G p. 278). The pages seems, however, to be an autograph, if not one marked by religious humility, unless «τῆς χειρὸς» be taken to mean "copied from an autograph by": see below. On the two brothers, see Sathas pp. 184sq. in Bibliography and Online Resources. For Morezinos see p. 294.

228r  Blank.
