Ernesto Richter was a Roman publisher, whose studio was first at Via di S. Giovanni 85 and later at Via dei Serpenti 170. At the turn of the century, he published numerous images of Rome, works of art in Roman museums, and views of the Roman Campagna, taken by various photographers. These images appeared as 3.5 x 5.5-inch postcards and 7 x 9.5-inch photographs.
