Ravello, Italy, 1905–1932 (Publisher, Photographer)
Luigi Cicalese (1852–1932) was a postcard photographer and publisher in Ravello, Italy from 1905 to 1932. While working as the head gardener at Villa Rufo, a large estate rehabilitated by the botanist Francis Nevile Reid, he also developed a career as a photographer. He captured images of the estate and the surrounding countryside, which were turned into black & white and color postcards. He is said to have been the first to produce postcards of Ravello.
