Marc Rosenberg was a German authority on the gold-working techniques used by various early civilizations as well as a collector of gold and silver objects. His research was published in Geschichte der Goldschmiedekunst auf technischer Grundlage (Frankfurt am Main: H. Keller, 1908–1925).
