Although the Pre-Columbian Collection records state that it came from the Marc Rosenberg Collection sale of November 4, 1929, it does not appear in the catalogue. Kalebdjian bid for the Blisses at the Rosenberg sale, and it is possible that this piece was sold by Kalebdjian and sent to the Blisses along with the Rosenberg objects.
