Notes
Original box:
Bodleian Library. Manuscript. Holkham Gr. 71.
ff. 158-185; 219-233, Blemmides, De Anima, De Corpore.
Film begins with 157v, which has a circular map of the heavens, divided into twelve sections.
First and last frames: "Photographic Order No. BP.B4599."
Second frame: "...The Librarian would also be glad to be informed of any work done by scholars on this microfilm. He makes this request because he wishes to possess for the use of scholars full information as possible concerning work on the manuscripts in his care."
The film came to us in two sections (157v-168r and 168r-185r, 218v-233r), which we've carefully joined together. The second of these has some rusty-red coloration (perhaps bad processing). Does not affect legibility except perhaps just slightly in some of the marginalia, though we believe that those too can be made out, if needed, with a darkened room and/or by photographing the image in negative.
